These words started it all…

Pay It Forward was one boy's idea...an idea that sparked a movement.

Established in September of 2000, the Pay It Forward Foundation was established by Catherine Ryan Hyde, author of the inspirational novel Pay It Forward, as a way to inspire a movement of people, all around the world, to show acts of kindness for others.

The Pay It Forward Foundation is a 501 c 3 charitable organization. Your financial gifts to support our work are tax deductible.
Our primary work is encouraging and inspiring acts of kindness, as well as providing copies of the Young Readers Edition of Pay It Forward for use in schools and other learning environments.

What will you do to Pay It Forward and start a ripple effect of good deeds?  Show your support and commitment to the movement by wearing the official Pay It Forward bracelet. Order yours today!

Written by Mark Best for his son Nathaniel
    Knoxville, TN ·
As most of you know, my writing leans toward genre stories…grifter and zombies and space cops and private eyes who still walk the mean streets. However, I think I am going to write a nonfiction piece about my son Nathaniel and his battle with ALL, and how it has changed me and my family. I have received so much support from people, from places I never expected. On the other hand, people we expected support from have been unforthcoming. I have seen a strength in my son I didn’t know he had, I see the love between him and Cera is even greater than it seemed; I have seen how the brother sister bond between him and Lonni is unbreakable (she makes him laugh and brings him as much comfort as anyone could), and I am reminded daily why my wife Stephanie is the best person I have ever met and the greatest thing that ever happened to me. I have seen the dedication of healthcare workers and the greed of big pharmaceuticals. This story has everything…heroes, villains, high highs and low lows, and, I am positive, a happy ending. Not sure if it will be a blog post, a magazine article or a book, but this is a story that will be told.

The past week has brought together so many people of Vadodara willing to work selflessly for a providing a quality educational camp for the children of a local municipal school. http://www.saisangel.org/#!smartcamp-lite/ctzx . We look forward to April 30th, where we will make this a day of pledge and service with the 100-125 children who will be at our camp.

2 day update: I am heartbroken at the amount of people unwilling to reach out and help others in need. This is a sad world, and to think its the world we are forced to raise our children in. All we can do is raise them to be the best they can be, and hope others do the same. http://www.gofundme.com/onn6kk If you are unable or unwilling to donate, please send up a prayer for this family. They need them now more than ever.
