Kids Paying It Forward

Hill Middle School, Novato, California

Pay it Forward (Poem)
by Jeannie Nahashon

Walking through San Francisco
You see so many homeless people
You want to talk to them but you can't
You want to give
But you don't know what to give
We sit here with so much in front of us
They sit there with nothing.
We whine and gripe about little things
They don't want anything.
They need things.
One chip can make a difference
One word can make a difference.
One meal can make a difference
But for us, we want and want some more.
They need and need some more.
So PAY IT FORWARD.

Posters on campus remind Hill Middle School students to "Pay It Forward"

Pay It Forward!! (Song)
By Dylan Valentino, Kaylie Hartje, Kia Nishimine, Casey Mokres and Greg Magadini

It starts with one person, then moves to three more. If we all pay it forward, we can change the world!

Chorus

Change the world by,
Paying it forward.
Pass to three more,
Paying it forward,
Help someone out!
Paying it forward,
Pass to three more.
Paying it forward.
Help someone out!

The earth will be a better place to be, with me helping you, and you helping me! (Repeat Chorus)

Helping one person can make you feel good, but helping more can put a smile on your face, making the world a better place! (Repeat Chorus)
