Every year, the DCJCC provides more than 260,000 servings of food to those most in need in DC. Through year-round Hunger Action events, more than 1200 volunteers are doing what they can to lift the burden of hunger and nutrition to those suffering in our community.
On April 30th, The Washington DCJCC will be sponsoring a pop-up sandwich making event between 4:00 and 6:30 pm. The DCJCC will be setting up sandwich stations in front of the DCJCC at 16th and Q and at DuPont Circle. Sandwich chefs will be provided with fixings to prepare peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Commuters are then invited to distribute their sandwich to someone in need as they continue on their way.
